1.1 Nature of Services. Dr. Hines Inc. provides Christian coaching services ONLY. These services are NOT psychotherapy, counseling, licensed clinical services, mental health treatment, psychiatric care, or medical advice. Dr. Hines Inc. is not a licensed professional counseling (LPC) practice, a licensed marriage and family therapy (LMFT) practice, or a medical provider of any kind.
1.2 Credentials. Dr. Johnathan Hines holds the following credentials:
1.3 Not Qualified to Diagnose or Treat. Dr. Hines is not qualified to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, psychiatric disorders, or medical conditions. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, psychotic episodes, or any condition requiring licensed clinical intervention, you must seek a licensed mental health professional immediately. In an emergency, contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911.
1.4 Complement, Not Replacement. Coaching services complement, but do not replace, licensed medical care, psychiatric treatment, or psychological therapy. Clients are encouraged to maintain relationships with licensed professionals as appropriate.
2.1 Service Categories. Dr. Hines Inc. offers the following service categories, each governed by these Terms:
2.2 Application-Based Acceptance. Enrollment in The Lion Protocol requires a completed application and acceptance by Dr. Hines. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Dr. Hines reserves the right to decline any applicant for any reason, including but not limited to: the applicant's needs being outside the scope of coaching, active untreated mental health crises, court-mandated treatment requirements, or lack of readiness for the program.
2.3 No Guarantees of Outcome. Coaching outcomes depend entirely on your effort, commitment, and follow-through. Dr. Hines Inc. makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties regarding specific results, relationship outcomes, personal transformation, or any other outcome. Testimonials on our website reflect individual experiences and are not indicative of future results.
3.1 Data Collected. By completing any assessment through Dr. Hines Inc., you consent to the collection of personal information including but not limited to: name, contact information, age, relationship status, personal history (including questions about trauma, substance use, abuse, self-harm, and mental health), personality and behavioral patterns, relationship dynamics, family system history, attachment patterns, and sexual history.
3.2 Purpose of Collection. This data is used solely to evaluate coaching fit, inform the coaching process, generate AI-powered client profiles, produce session briefs, and track progress. Assessment results are stored securely and are accessible only to Dr. Hines and authorized members of his practice.
3.3 Proprietary Instruments. All assessments offered by Dr. Hines Inc. (including but not limited to The Dark Room, The Lion, The Wound, The Fire, The Kingdom, The Root, and The Stronghold Assessment) are proprietary intellectual property of Dr. Hines Inc. They may not be reproduced, distributed, reverse-engineered, shared, or used outside the context of Dr. Hines Inc. coaching services without express written permission.
3.4 Assessment Accuracy. Assessments are coaching tools, not clinical diagnostic instruments. They are not validated psychological tests and should not be treated as clinical diagnoses. If assessment results suggest the possible presence of a mental health condition, Dr. Hines will recommend evaluation by a licensed mental health professional.
3.5 Free Assessments. Free assessments (such as The Dark Room) offered through our website collect responses through third-party form processors (currently Formspree). By completing a free assessment, you consent to the collection and storage of your responses as described in our Privacy Policy. Optional email capture for newsletter purposes is clearly marked and not required to receive assessment results.
3.6 Data Ownership. Your assessment responses and resulting data belong to you. However, the assessment instruments, scoring algorithms, AI models, session brief templates, and the Stronghold CRM system are the exclusive intellectual property of Dr. Hines Inc. You may request a copy of your raw data or request deletion at any time, subject to any legal retention requirements.
4.1 AI-Powered Session Tools. Dr. Hines Inc. utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance the quality and effectiveness of coaching services. By engaging our services, you consent to the following AI-assisted processes:
4.2 AI Dictation & Session Documentation. Dr. Hines may use AI-powered dictation and transcription tools during or immediately after coaching sessions for the following purposes:
4.3 Human Oversight. All AI-generated content is reviewed and/or approved by Dr. Hines before being acted upon or stored. AI is a tool that assists Dr. Hines. It does not replace professional judgment and does not independently make coaching decisions.
4.4 AI Limitations. AI systems are not infallible. They may occasionally produce inaccurate analyses, miss nuances, or generate recommendations that require human correction. Dr. Hines takes full responsibility for all coaching decisions regardless of AI input.
4.5 Third-Party AI Providers. AI processing may involve third-party technology providers (such as but not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar services). These providers process data according to their own privacy and security policies. Where available, Dr. Hines Inc. uses business-tier agreements that prevent your data from being used to train AI models. A current list of AI providers is available upon written request.
4.6 Consent & Opt-Out. By engaging our coaching services, you consent to the use of AI tools as described in this section. If you do not consent to AI-assisted coaching, you must notify Dr. Hines in writing before your first session. Alternative arrangements may be available, but certain program features (such as AI-powered session briefs and adaptive check-ins) will not be available without AI processing.
5.1 General Confidentiality. All information shared during assessments and coaching sessions is kept strictly confidential.
5.2 Exceptions to Confidentiality. Dr. Hines is required or permitted to break confidentiality in the following circumstances under Oklahoma law:
5.3 Confidentiality of AI-Processed Data. Data processed through AI systems is subject to the same confidentiality protections as all other client information. AI providers are selected based on their data protection practices. Where possible, business-tier agreements prohibit the use of client data for model training.
6.1 Your Decisions. You are solely responsible for your own decisions, actions, and results. Dr. Hines provides guidance, tools, and support but makes no guarantees of any specific outcomes. You will not hold Dr. Hines Inc. responsible for decisions you make or actions you take as a result of the coaching process.
6.2 Fitness to Participate. By engaging our services, you confirm that you are mentally and emotionally capable of participating in coaching. You acknowledge that coaching may involve confronting difficult emotions, memories, and patterns, and that this process may be challenging. If at any point you experience a mental health crisis, you agree to seek licensed professional help immediately and to notify Dr. Hines.
6.3 Accurate Information. You agree to provide truthful and accurate information in all assessments, applications, and communications. Inaccurate or intentionally misleading information may compromise the coaching process and may result in termination of the coaching relationship.
7.1 Joint Consent. Both partners must independently agree to these Terms of Service before couples coaching begins. Participation in couples coaching constitutes acceptance by both parties.
7.2 No Secrets Policy. Dr. Hines Inc. operates under a "no secrets" policy in couples coaching. Information disclosed by one partner in an individual conversation with Dr. Hines may, at Dr. Hines's professional discretion, be shared with the other partner if it is deemed relevant to the couples coaching process. By engaging in couples coaching, both partners acknowledge and consent to this policy.
7.3 Individual Sessions Within Couples Work. If individual sessions are conducted as part of a couples coaching engagement, the content of those sessions may inform couples session planning and AI-generated briefs. Both partners consent to this integrated approach.
7.4 Termination by Either Party. Either partner may terminate couples coaching at any time. If one partner withdraws, the remaining partner may transition to individual coaching subject to availability and a new coaching agreement.
7.5 Domestic Violence & Safety. If Dr. Hines determines that active domestic violence, abuse, or a safety concern exists, he reserves the right to suspend or terminate couples coaching immediately and recommend appropriate resources, including referral to licensed professionals, law enforcement, or crisis services. This determination is at Dr. Hines's sole discretion and is not subject to appeal by either partner.
7.6 Not a Mediator. Dr. Hines is not a licensed mediator, attorney, or arbitrator. Couples coaching does not constitute legal mediation. Coaching should not be relied upon as a substitute for legal counsel in matters of divorce, custody, property division, or any legal proceeding.
8.1 Scope. Individual coaching for women follows the same general terms as all coaching services outlined herein.
8.2 Professional Boundaries. Dr. Hines maintains strict professional boundaries in all coaching relationships. Sessions are conducted in professional settings (in-person office or video call). All sessions are documented. Dr. Hines reserves the right to refer a female client to another provider if, in his professional judgment, the client's needs would be better served by a female coach or a licensed therapist.
8.3 Spouse Information Firewall. If a woman is engaged in individual coaching and her spouse is separately engaged in The Lion Protocol or other coaching with Dr. Hines, information between those engagements is kept strictly separate unless both parties provide written consent to share information for the purpose of integrated care.
9.1 Payment. All payments are due as outlined in your coaching agreement. For The Lion Protocol: $5,000 pay-in-full or $6,500 on a 6-month payment plan ($1,084/month). Payment is processed through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize Dr. Hines Inc. to charge the agreed amount(s) on the agreed schedule.
9.2 Non-Refundable After Coaching Begins. All payments are non-refundable once coaching has begun. Your first session (including any intake, assessment review, or discovery session) constitutes "beginning" of coaching.
9.3 Pre-Session Cancellation. If you wish to cancel before your first session, you may receive a refund minus a 25% administrative fee (covering assessment setup, AI profile creation, and onboarding), only if requested within 72 hours of payment. After 72 hours or after your first session (whichever comes first), all fees are non-refundable.
9.4 Payment Plan Default. If a client on a payment plan fails to make a scheduled payment, Dr. Hines Inc. reserves the right to suspend coaching services until the account is current. Two consecutive missed payments may result in termination of the coaching agreement with no refund for services already rendered. Failure to pay constitutes breach of this agreement and may result in collection action including reasonable attorney fees and costs.
9.5 Insurance. Dr. Hines Inc. does not accept insurance, does not bill insurance, and does not provide superbills for reimbursement. All services are private-pay only.
10.1 Cancellation Window. Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
10.2 Late Cancellations. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice will be forfeited and deducted from your package. No exceptions.
10.3 No-Shows. Failure to appear for a scheduled session without prior notice constitutes a no-show. No-show sessions will be forfeited and deducted from your package.
10.4 Repeated No-Shows. Two or more no-shows may result in termination of the coaching relationship with no refund for unused sessions. This determination is at Dr. Hines's sole discretion.
10.5 Emergencies. Genuine emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis at Dr. Hines's sole discretion.
All sessions must be used within the program timeframe specified in your coaching agreement. Sessions do not roll over and expire at the end of your program period. For The Lion Protocol, all 12 sessions must be completed within the 6-month program window. Maintenance sessions must be completed within months 7-9. Extensions are granted only at Dr. Hines's sole discretion and only for documented extenuating circumstances.
Dr. Hines reserves the right to terminate the coaching relationship at any time if, in his professional judgment: the client is not a good fit for coaching, the client's behavior is disruptive, abusive, or threatening, the client's needs exceed the scope of coaching services, the client is not engaging in the process in good faith, or the client has violated these Terms. In cases of termination initiated by Dr. Hines for reasons other than client misconduct, a prorated refund for unused sessions will be issued. In cases of termination due to client misconduct or breach, no refund will be issued.
13.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dr. Hines Inc., Dr. Johnathan Hines, and all affiliated parties shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, emotional distress, relationship outcomes, or any damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services, assessments, digital products, AI-powered tools, or website.
13.2 No warranties, express or implied, are made regarding outcomes or results of coaching.
13.3 In no event shall the total liability of Dr. Hines Inc. exceed the total amount actually paid by you for services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
13.4 You acknowledge that coaching involves emotional processing and that difficult emotions, memories, or realizations may surface during the coaching process. Dr. Hines Inc. is not liable for emotional distress that arises as a natural part of personal growth and self-examination.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dr. Hines Inc., Dr. Johnathan Hines, and all employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from: your participation in coaching services, your decisions or actions taken during or after coaching, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any rights of a third party, or any misrepresentation you make under these Terms.
15.1 Informal Resolution. Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to first contact Dr. Hines Inc. in writing and allow thirty (30) days to resolve the matter informally.
15.2 Binding Arbitration. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the coaching relationship, or the services provided by Dr. Hines Inc. that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration administered in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to a jury trial. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
15.3 Class Action Waiver. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Dr. Hines Inc.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be conducted exclusively in Tulsa County, Oklahoma.
