What does Dr. Hines specialize in?

Men's coaching. The focus is on helping men break free from passivity, toxic family systems, and destructive patterns. Dr. Hines works exclusively with men.

Is this therapy or counseling?

No. Dr. Hines provides faith-based coaching services, not licensed professional counseling (LPC) or therapy. His credentials are through Andersonville Theological Seminary and professional coaching organizations. Services integrate biblical principles with evidence-based methods like the Gottman approach.

Are services faith-based?

Yes. All coaching is rooted in Christian principles. However, clients from all backgrounds are welcome. The focus is on practical transformation, not preaching.

What makes this different from traditional therapy?

Three things: intensity (we do not drag things out for years), directness (you will hear what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear), and integration (we address mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions together). Five diagnostic assessments feed an AI-powered profile that drives every session.

What is The Lion Protocol?

A 5-phase diagnostic coaching program for men. 12 sessions over 6 months (60-90 minutes each), plus 3 monthly maintenance sessions. Five proprietary assessments feed your coaching profile. Every session is built from what the data reveals.

How much does it cost?

$5,000 pay-in-full (saves $1,500) or $6,500 on a 6-month payment plan ($1,084/month). Application required. You cannot purchase the program without being accepted first.

What are the five assessments?

The Lion (identity, passivity, empathy), The Wound (father wound, family system, manipulation history), The Fire (triggers, escape patterns, boundaries), The Kingdom (marriage, parenting, leadership, vision), and The Root (mother wound, church wounds, sexual wounds, attachment). Plus The Dark Room assessment is available free before you apply.

Do you accept insurance?

No. All services are private-pay only. We do not bill insurance or provide superbills for reimbursement.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. All sessions are available virtually via Zoom. Virtual sessions are just as effective as in-person for most clients. Serving men nationwide.

What is the cancellation policy?

48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less notice result in forfeiture of the session.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. All information shared in sessions is kept strictly confidential, with limited exceptions required by law (imminent harm to self or others, suspected abuse, court orders).

How do I get started?

Submit an application. Dr. Hines reviews every application personally and responds within 48 hours. If accepted, you will receive your assessment login and payment link.

How do I know if this is right for me?

This is for you if you are ready to do the work, can handle direct feedback, and want results rather than endless processing.
